The public is invited to the Second Annual Cockspur Island Lighthouse Jamboree Saturday, November 11, 1-5PM, at Captain Derek’s Dolphin Adventures, 3 Old U.S. Highway 80, on Tybee Island.

Jamboree features include the following: a silent auction, live music, raffles, face painting for the kids, light snacks and beverages, an onsite plein air painting session, and three scheduled boat trips. The cost of the boat trips are $10 per person for the 1:30PM and 3PM excursions and $20 per person for the 5PM sunset cruise.  These boat trips are special visits to the Cockspur Island Lighthouse to learn all about the Lighthouse’s past, present and future. Jamboree attendees can also sign up for the onsite plein air painting with Master Artist Michael Mills (space is very limited) to paint the Cockspur Lighthouse.

If you are interested in the painting session, by THURSDAY please reserve a spot for the painting session by calling the Irritable Pelican Artisan Gallery at 912.704.2059.

The silent auction and raffle include items such as: ecology tours, a private dolphin trip for up to 10 people, a Michael Mills original painting, gift certificates to local businesses, and more. Cash, debit and credit will be accepted. If you cannot attend the Jamboree and would like to help the Friends of Cockspur Island Lighthouse’s efforts to preserve this unique lighthouse, please go to the DONATE button on this website.
